MOTORHOME SERVICING

Although a Motorhome habitation service is not a legal requirement, it is important to ensure that your equipment is in good working order, for your safety and comfort.

Electrical safety issues, LPG leaks and water problems may prove costly if not checked and maintained on an annual basis.

A motorhome habitation service takes approximately 3 hours to complete and consists of:-

12V Electrics

  • Check that the leisure battery is being charged by the engine and mains charger
  • Fridge
  • Interior lighting & equipment
  • Leisure battery
  • Electric awning & step
  • External socket

Ventilation

  • Ventilation openings
  • Adjustable ventilators
  • Roof lights

Fire Safety

  • Smoke & CO alarms
  • Extinguisher (if fitted)
  • Fire blanket (if fitted)

Mains Electrics

  • Inlet plug
  • Hook-up cable
  • Earth bonding
  • RCD operation
  • Socket outlets & permanent connections
  • Appliances fitted e.g.: air conditioning

Water System

  • Water pump
  • Pressure switch

  • Taps, microswitch & valves
  • Pipes & tank – check condition and operation
  • Water filter & housing – check for leaks & replace filter if necessary
